According to a House of Commons report, “The National Health Service of England and the Social Care Sector of The United Kingdom are facing the most challenging workforce crisis in history.”  

In a survey conducted by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) of over 1900 respondents, the majority of employers (54%) said that they are facing challenges recruiting new staff and 31% said that they are experiencing challenges retaining staff.
